  10-Year Plan to Stengthen Health Care and Medical and Diagnostic Equipment Funding
(Health) (2006) In September 2004, Canada's First Ministers signed a 10-year agreement aimed at addressing priority areas in the health care system and providing new funding to support health care delivery. Specific commitments were made re: wait time reduction, health human resources, home care, pharmaceutical coverage, primary care, and health promotion.

(Advanced Education) Certain Health Care Workers (HCW) are at a significantly elevated risk of disease from exposure to infectious respiratory aerosols generated from patients with tuberculosis (TB) or other similarly transmitted diseases. Other HCW are not currently at risk, but may be in the event of an outbreak of a disease transmitted by respiratory droplets and aerosols that poses a serious risk to workers.
