MEDIA ADVISORY November 18, 2005 COMMISSION COUNSEL MEETS WITH
DAVID MILGAARD
On October 25,
2005, Commissioner MacCallum made an order requiring David Milgaard to accept
a subpoena and provide a convincing undertaking to appear before the
Commission as a witness by November 8, 2005, or face losing his standing and
funding.
On November 8, 2005, Commissioner MacCallum granted an extension to his order to allow Mr. Hersh Wolch, counsel for David Milgaard, to show cause why his client should be excused from testifying and be allowed continued standing. As a condition of that extension, the Commissioner ordered that a meeting must take place on or before November 19th, 2005, to allow David Milgaard to be interviewed by Commission counsel as a prospective witness. That meeting has now occurred, the result of which will be heard by the Commissioner on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at the Top of the Inn, Sheraton Cavalier hotel, Saskatoon. For
