Title: Appointment of Lorna Hargreaves as the Chief Coroner for Saskatchewan

Minister: Minister of Justice and Attorney General

Summary: Orders that:

a. the appointment of Robert Kent Stewart, Regina as the Chief Coroner for Saskatchewan made by Your Honour’s Order 405/2004, dated June 15, 2004, is cancelled due to his retirement;

b. effective August 1, 2017, Lorna Hargreaves, Regina is appointed as the Chief Coroner for Saskatchewan to serve at pleasure;

c. the remuneration for Lorna Hargreaves, as the Chief Coroner for Saskatchewan, is set at $14,968 per month, plus all economic adjustments provided by Order of the Lieutenant Governor in Council from time to time;

d. Lorna Hargreaves, as the Chief Coroner for Saskatchewan, is subject to sections 23, 27, 28 and 30 of The Public Service Act, 1998, and sections 25, 30, 30.1, 32, 39 to 42, 44 to 48, 51 to 91, 94, 95 and 96 of The Public Service Regulations, 1999; and

e. Lorna Hargreaves, as the Chief Coroner for Saskatchewan, shall participate in the Public Employees’ Pension Plan, Group Life Insurance Plan, Extended Health Care Plan, Dental Plan and Disability Income Plan, on the same terms as Crown Counsel in the Ministry of Justice.
