Title: The Traffic Safety (Speed Monitoring) Regulations

Minister: Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Government Insurance

Summary: On filing date, these regulations (RRS T-18.1 Reg 10) will:

  • prescribe those speed monitoring devices that may be used by law enforcement for monitoring driver speeds in highway work zones;
  • indicate that police or municipalities are prohibited from using a speed monitoring device in a highway work zone unless there are workers and/or equipment in the zone and a sign indicating a speed monitoring device is operation in that zone; and
  • set out the information that must be placed in an affidavit by enforcement for the prosecution of an offence for speeding in a highway work zone with the use of a speed monitoring device.
