Title: Cowessess and Kahkewistahaw First Nations Community Tripartite Agreement (2009-2011 Fiscal Years) – Canada’s First Nations Policing Policy

Summary: Orders:

(a) Approval of the terms of the Community Tripartite Agreement, substantially in the form of the attached Schedule A, with the Government of Canada as represented by the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness and the Cowessess and Kahkewistahaw First Nations as represented by their respective Chiefs and Councils, for the continuation of the provision of effective, professional, culturally appropriate policing services to the Cowessess and Kahkewistahaw First Nations through the RCMP First Nations Community Policing Service for the period from April 1, 2009 to March 31, 2011, consistent with Canada’s First Nations Policing Policy; and

(b) That the Minister of Corrections, Public Safety and Policing is authorized to execute the Community Tripartite Agreement on behalf of the Government of Saskatchewan.
